Gion Matsuri Kanzashi. Pink, white, dragonflies.

This is the finished set for the maiko henshin, Gion Matsuri style. The design is inspired by traditional gion matsuri motifs, but modified for maiko henshin.    In particular, the dragonflies commemorate the customer's lovely summer memories. Handmade by me, but my friend cut the metal flowers (left, farther back and shot for the boke effect) from sheet metal and sent them to me for this project.    The pink and white flowers are hand folded silk set on larger silver filigree to complete the look. Dragonflies are made with rainbow organza-- it makes a pretty effect.
