Handmade custom hair piece for the lovely :iconarmoredkoi: !

This is a tancho sanke koi. It's well known for its distinctive coloring, and makes an adorable hair pin. He's about 3" long from mouth to tail fin, so this image is a little bigger than the actual hair pin in life, lol.

I hand dyed the red and hand sculpted the face plate for this little guy, folding each scale by hand. The wire form was also handmade by me. ♥

It took a long enough time to finish (I'm so slow of late~~), but I'm quite happy with this cute guy!!

I hope to get more pieces for myself... once I actually have more hair to put them in... I'd love a comb like my mom has!
