Shirayuki. Kanzashi.by ~hanatsukuri

Artisan Crafts / Textiles / Fiber Art

"Shirayuki" is a name... "snow white." Literally, it's "white snow" but...^^

This one is a custom order-- it's similar to my double-flower design, but with falling petals, and attached to a comb. ^^

I made this using tsumami * kanzashi (folded * ornate hair pin) techniques. Each petal was a square of silk.

I recommend tutorials! And youtube videos. I don't use them myself, so I don't have any particular ones to recommend.

Search under "kanzashi" or "tsumami kanzashi" .

And I already have a full-time job, and barely have time to make my own flowers; so I don't have time to make a tutorial. ^o^ sorry.

Oh, I quite enjoy this piece.

it's one of my favorite classical styles...tho it has a modern feel to it.
