Silver + gold koi tsumami zaiku. Handmade kanzashi

Another custom order for a friend~ I love these little fish. They're charming! And I got to make them out of kimono fabric-- with a little bit of guest gold raw silk. They're accompanied by little water lilies done in fanciful red and purple-- also kimono silk, and topped with round eyes that just express their cuteness.

These are my first fish without face plates... the face plate is my usual response to a round, sweet face, but since these are smaller than usual, I made them with only silk. Here's my earlier goldfish: hanatsukuri.deviantart.com/art…
